International Impact Book Award — Health
Dean’s signature keynote takes audiences beyond the usual conversation about living longer and asks a more important question: How do we stay strong, capable and independent enough to keep living the life we want?
Dean invites audiences to think beyond birthdays, diagnoses and statistics—and picture the life
they still want to be living five, ten or even twenty years from now. Travel. Play with your grandchildren.
Work in your garden. Walk through an airport. Carry your own groceries.
Get down on the floor—and get back up. Stay in your own home. Make your own decisions.
Through these five choices—Mobility, Movement, Muscle, Meals and Mindset—
Dean gives audiences a memorable framework they can use long after the event is over.

Storytelling • Teaching • Humor • Audience Connection
Dean doesn't lecture audiences about getting older. He brings them into the conversation through personal stories,
humor, relatable moments and practical strategies that connect healthy aging
to the things they actually care about doing.
Dean gives audiences more than information. He gives them a practical way to connect
the choices they make today with the independence they want to protect tomorrow.
Challenge outdated beliefs about what getting older has to mean.
Leave with simple choices and strategies they can begin using right away.
Connect today's habits with the freedom, capability and choices they want tomorrow.
MORE WAYS TO SERVE YOUR AUDIENCE
Dean’s presentations can address different sides of the same essential question:
How do we stay in control of our lives as we get older?

Dean’s message is personal. After decades as a professional performer, educator and producer, serious health challenges eventually left him dependent on others for some of life’s most basic activities. Rebuilding his own strength and independence changed the direction of his life—and gave him a very different perspective on what healthy aging really means.
Today, at 74, Dean combines that lived experience with professional training in health coaching, senior fitness, corrective exercise and nutrition to give audiences something more powerful than theory: a message he is living right alongside them.

Dean’s award-winning book, Unfinished Business,
extends his message beyond the stage—challenging readers to stop treating age as a reason to shrink their lives and start asking what they still want to do, experience, contribute and become.
From the first conversation to the final applause, Dean makes the experience easy for event planners—and meaningful for the audience.
Clear communication, thoughtful preparation and attention to the details that make your event run smoothly.
Every presentation is shaped around the audience—their concerns, their goals and what they want their next decades to look like.
Personal stories, humor and audience interaction turn useful information into an experience people remember.
Audiences leave with clear, realistic strategies they can begin applying to their lives right away.
Reliable, responsive and respectful of your schedule, your organization and the responsibility of representing your event well.
Flexible, collaborative and committed to making the entire process—from planning through presentation—as easy as possible.

“My strength, endurance, flexibility and balance have all improved immensely. My daily activities have become easier to do, and I enjoy more freedom of movement now.
This is the first fitness program I tried that truly helped me get my life back on track at a pace that felt safe.
My quality of life has definitely improved.”

“Dean’s classes combine fitness with fun and camaraderie. His Aging Boldly classes became so popular two more classes per week had to be added.
During these months my strength, flexibility and balance have improved significantly. These issues are important to performing everyday tasks at 68 years of age.”
